Gossip | Übersetzungen, vor denen es mir graut

Heute möchte ich mir ein Thema von der Seele reden, das mich schon einige Zeit lang stört/frustriert/ärgert. Es geht um Übersetzungen. 

Ich lese hauptsächlich Contemporary Romance und Romantic Thriller. Außerdem auch gerne mal Erotica oder New Adult. Meist im englischen Original, denn genau in den Genres habe ich in letzter Zeit ein großes Problem mit der deutschen Übersetzung. Meist sind diese meiner Meinung nach nämlich wirklich lachhaft.  Beispiele gefällig?

Wanted | New (e)books in March

Die gekauften Neuerscheinungen vom Februar sind noch nicht einmal alle gelesen (von all den anderen Büchern ganz zu schweigen) und ich freue mich schon auf die Bücher, die im März veröffentlicht werden. Ein ewiger Kreislauf, dem ich nicht entrinnen kann. Und schon wieder sind einige neue Reihen von neuen Autorinnen darunter, dabei wollte ich mich ja lieber auf die konzentrieren, die ich bereits angefangen habe… Aber gut, ich hab mir schon immer schwer getan, Vorsätze einzuhalten :D

85%  meiner Bücher besitzen Cover, die Personen zeigen. Frauen, Männer, manchmal nur Körperansichten, manchmal Pärchen etc. Das gehört wohl dazu, wenn man vorwiegend Contemporary Romance oder Romantic Thrill liest.

Das Cover, das ich euch heute zeigen möchte, ist schön sommerlich - ganz im Gegensatz zum momentanen Wetter. Es gehört zu dem Young Adult-Roman „Der Geschmack von Glück“ von Jennifer E. Smith.

Cover Monday | Pepper Winters - Tears of Tess

Das Cover des Buches, das ich euch heute im Rahmen des Cover Mondays zeigen will, hat mich sofort angesprochen: es ist jenes von Pepper Winters "Tears of Tess". Die Farben, die Schriftart, die Darstellung - Nichts Auffälliges, aber wie man schon bei den bisherigen gezeigten Cover sieht, ist das genau meins. 

Gossip | Reihen - Fluch oder Segen?

Dass ich kein Fan von Reihen bin, hab ich schon mehrmals erwähnt. Damit meine ich Inhalte, die sich über mehrere Bücher ziehen, wie etwa „Fifty Shades“ etc. Ich kann die Vorteile solcher Reihen - vor allem im Fantasybereich mit dem ganzen World Building - nachvollziehen, sie sind aber nichts für mich. Sie fangen mich leider allzu oft zu langweilen an, daran kann auch ein Cliffhanger am Ende nichts ändern. Meist komme ich dann nie dazu, wieder dort anzuknüpfen, weil mich neue, unbekannte Geschichten mehr reizen.

Wenn Reihen bloß in derselben Stadt oder auch über eine Familie und deren Freundeskreis ziehen, allerdings in jedem Buch ein anderes Paar im Mittelpunkt steht, ist das etwas anderes - damit kann ich ganz gut leben :D

Während ich, wie bereits in einem anderen Post erwähnt, meine Bücherregale neu sortierte, kam ich auf die Idee, mich gleich auch mal meinen Reihen zu widmen. Und dabei ist wieder mal mein Listen-Fetisch durchgedrungen und es sind folgende drei Übersichten entstanden.
